Bhutan, also known as the "Land of the Thunder Dragon", with its capital at Thimpu, is a small, landlocked country in the Eastern Himalayas, located between China and India.   • It is better to go with a local tour operator since permit and payment of SDF are mandatory
  • Travel in Bhutan involves long road journeys. Carry required medication if you have motion and altitude sickness
  • Be a responsible tourist and help the locals in conserving the environment
  • Hiking up Tiger’s Nest requires more than moderate fitness levels and plan the trip to this shrine based on your health condition
  • Bhutan is a safe country for travel
  • Carry cash for local shopping and street food. Indian currency is also accepted at many places

Indian Passport holders require an entry permit to enter Bhutan. There is a mandatory Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
