Sikkim

Sikkim, is a Northeastern state of India and one of the smallest states. It is nestled in Eastern Himalayas and home to the world’s third tallest peak – the Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is called the ‘Land of Monasteries” and is famous for its stunning Himalayan scenery, including Mount Kanchenjunga, Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass, and the Yumthang Valley (also known as the Valley of Flowers). The Kingdom of Sikkim was founded by the Namgyal dynasty in the 17th century. Sikkim shares borders with Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and West Bengal. Sikkim is a perfect destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those seeking spiritual enlightenment. Top treks include the challenging 10-day Goecha La Trek (15,100 ft), the scenic 5-day Dzongri Trek, the moderate Bajre Dara Trek for sunrise views, and the rhododendron-filled Singalila Trek. The main cities/towns are the capital city of Gangtok and Pelling.
