6 N/7 D Shimla, Manali and Chandigarh
Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive Kalka Railway station and transfer to Shimla by road. It takes approx. 3 hrs by road. Check in to hotel. Visit to Jakhu Temple, Christ Church and Mall road. Overnight at Shimla.
DAY 2
Day trip to Kufri. It takes approx. 45 min by road. In Afternoon Return back to Shimla. Evening free time to explore local market Lakkar Bazaar. Overnight at Shimla.
DAY 3
After breakfast leave for Manali, it takes approx. 8 hr. by road and distance 250 km - on the way you will see Bilaspur and Govind Sagar lake created by Bakra Nangal dam project or you can skip Bilaspur and take alternate route along river Beas, then Sundernagar and Mandi (enroute you will see Pandoh dam) There is also Hanoji Mata temple on the way. Then comes Kullu town famous for Raghunathji temple and then finally Manali. Please note that if you stop at places enroute then the trip may take over 12 hours. Overnight stay at hotel in Manali.
DAY 4
Morning Visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple & Himalayan Nyinmapa Buddhist Monastery and Old Manali. Overnight at Manali.
DAY 5
Visit Solang Valley enroute stop at Vashisht Temple, Vashisht Hot Water Springs Adventure Activities like paragliding, zorbing etc if interested and then proceed to Snowpoint before Rohtang pass depending on till which point the road is open and safe to travel to enjoy snow and beautiful views of the Himalayan ranges. You can hire snow boots and water proof attire locally to enjoy the snow. Rohtang pass which is the gateway to the Lahaul and Spiti valleys is closed during winters and opens only in May. Overnight at Manali.
DAY 6
Early Morning Check-out and transfer to Chandigarh. It takes approx. 6 hrs. 30 min by road and distance 280 km. On the ways, stopover at Pinjore & Rock Garden. Check-in into the hotel. Overnight at Chandigarh.
DAY 7
After Breakfast check-out and visit Sukhna Lake then transfer to Chandigarh airport for flight back to home.
