Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival in Leh
After arrival at Leh Airport, you would be transferred to hotel for check-in. Today you are free for leisure & acclimatization. This way you can explore the Leh town and also become familiar with the high-altitude climate. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
DAY 2
Leh to Kargil via Batalik (220 Kms | 4-5 hrs approx.)
After breakfast, drive to Kargil, en route, visit Dha-Hanu. The people who inhabit this area are considered as last of the Indo Aryan race, not only their attire is highly decorated with jewelry and flowers, their features are also quite distinct. We also visit Batalik, one of the most famous war front zones fought by the Indian soldiers in 1999 with Pakistan. Arrive Kargil by evening, enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight at Kargil.
DAY 3
Kargil – Leh vai Mulbekh – Lamayuru – Alchi. (220 kms approx. 4-5 hrs.)
After your breakfast you will drive back towards Leh enroute you will visit Mulbekh, Lamayuru & Alchi. Overnight at Leh.
DAY 4
Leh – Khardungla Top – Nubra Valley
Today after an early breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley. Enroute visit Khardung-la-pass, the second highest motorable road in the world at 17,580ft and Diskit Monastery. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Visit Diskit monastery and 100-foot high Maitreya Buddha statue at Diskit and continue your journey to Hunder. Check in at Hotel. In the evening, enjoy the Camel ride on sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 5
Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok and back to Leh. (310 Kms 08 – 09 hrs)
After early breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination Pangong Lake via Shayok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut and it's a beautiful route. The road follows the Shayok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It takes less than an hour to reach Shayok, and you will be delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at Pangong lake. Later drive back to Leh via Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
DAY 6
Depart Leh
After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & you would be transferred to Leh Airport to catch flight to Delhi. Your memorable tour to the crown of India (mini-Tibet) concludes here.
